Bank robbery suspect arrested

Two weeks after armed robbers made off with $44,875 from Maquoketa State Bank in Andrew, investigators have identified one of their suspects, with the help of fingerprints and a former girlfriend.

Jason Anthony Brown, 30, of Milwaukee, Wis., was being held in Milwaukee on an unrelated charge of criminal damage to property when he was charged Sept. 16 with first-degree robbery and joint criminal conduct in the Andrew incident.

The second suspect remains at large, as does a woman wanted for questioning. The single teller was unhurt in the robbery.

The money has not been recovered.
