Beautify Sabula looks to spring cleaning, baseball diamond

The Beautify Sabula Committee has been quiet over the winter but is planning and prepping for spring cleaning and new projects.

Beautify Sabula volunteer Bridget Kilburg has been working with Sabula Little League volunteers to renovate the youth baseball and t-ball diamond and field. “We've been fortunate to receive grants from the Maquoketa Area Community Foundation and the Bettendorf Community Foundation to help with some new construction and we look forward to also initiating ‘green space’ around the field area as well,” she wrote in an email to Bellevue Herald-Leader editor Sara Millhouse.

Much of the work of early spring will be to sustain the areas renovated and constructed last year with funding from the Dubuque Racing Association/Mystique Casino, volunteers and supporters.
